Barracuda Strike opens
Inverted family coaster opens, marketed as the tallest inverted family coaster in North America.
Barracuda Strike opened in spring 2026 as SeaWorld San Antonio’s newest thrill coaster — an inverted family coaster the park markets as the tallest inverted family coaster in North America. Official ride pages present it as an all-new, now-open addition aimed at families who want suspended thrills without Great White’s higher intensity.
The ride joins the northeast steel cluster near Wave Breaker and Steel Eel, extending the park’s inverted lineage while lowering the height barrier for younger riders. Barracuda Strike’s launch timing also sits after Rescue Jr. and Catapult Falls, continuing a multi-year investment cycle in both kids’ areas and unique water/steel products.
Barracuda Strike is the newest operating coaster on the SeaWorld San Antonio roster and the family inverted counterpart to Great White’s older B&M inverted layout.
