Reading the stats
Hourly capacity estimates how many riders a coaster can move in ideal conditions — train size × number of trains × dispatch rate. A three-train hyper with quick laps can clear thousands of guests per hour; a single-train shuttle may manage far fewer even with a short cycle.
Real-world capacity is lower. Slow boarding, weather holds, and mid-course stack-ups cut throughput. Dual stations, moving platforms, and efficient unload matter as much as track length. That is why a “high capacity” ride can still have a long line when demand spikes harder than ops can match.
