A junior launch coaster themed to the Looney Tunes character Speedy Gonzales, offering quick dips and gentle turns for young riders on their way to bigger credits. It ran in the park's Bugs Bunny World family zone for over a decade before closing in early 2026 as part of the redevelopment of the area into the larger Looney Tunes Land. Its compact, low-speed layout made it a common first coaster for families visiting with small children.

Background

Speedy Gonzales Hot Rod Racers opened in 2014 as a family-friendly launch coaster themed to the fast-talking Looney Tunes mouse, giving Bugs Bunny World one of its few rides built around a specific character rather than generic kiddie theming. Its Zamperla launch system let small children experience a genuine, if gentle, launch sensation without the steep drops or inversions found on the park's adult coasters.

For over a decade the ride served as a common entry point for families with young children, its short 650-foot layout and low 22 mph top speed making it accessible to riders too small for almost anything else in the immediate area. That accessibility made it a reliable stop for parents introducing kids to their first coaster experiences.

The ride closed permanently on the same timeline as the rest of Bugs Bunny World in early 2026, as Six Flags cleared the zone to build the larger Looney Tunes Land expansion. Unlike Canyon Blaster, which was relocated and rebranded, Speedy Gonzales Hot Rod Racers was retired outright rather than moved to the new area.
