Launched coasters
Motors or hydraulics replace or supplement the lift hill for rapid acceleration.
Launched coasters use LIM, LSM, hydraulic, or pneumatic systems to accelerate trains quickly. Some launches are the whole story; others are a single kicker in a longer circuit.
Peak speed may arrive in the first two seconds, so the ride can feel front-loaded compared to a lift-hill hyper.
Look for launch type in specs and POVs when available. Multi-pass launches change pacing — the train might traverse the same track twice with different energy.
