This E&F Miler Industries family coaster has carried four names since opening in 1998 as Taxi Jam, becoming Hey Arnold's Taxi Chase in 2005 and the Peanuts-branded Lucy's Crabbie Cabbie in 2010 before settling into its current Wilderness Run identity during the 2018 Camp Snoopy conversion. None of the renames changed the ride itself: the same 16-foot lift hill, downward-banked turn, and gentle helix have carried twelve riders per train at a walking-pace six mph for over 25 years. It's designed as a first training ground for young coaster fans working toward the park's bigger steel rides.

Background

Wilderness Run has run under four different names since it opened in 1998 as Taxi Jam, an E&F Miler Industries family coaster themed around a runaway taxicab. The same manufacturer built sister rides at Canada's Wonderland and the Great Pumpkin Coasters at Kings Island and Kings Dominion, making this modest 416-foot oval one of several nearly identical Miler installations across Cedar Fair's parks.

The ride picked up Nickelodeon branding as Hey Arnold's Taxi Chase in 2005, then swapped to a Peanuts theme as Lucy's Crabbie Cabbie in 2010 with a matching blue repaint. When Carowinds converted Planet Snoopy into Camp Snoopy for the 2018 season, the ride was repainted green with brown supports and renamed Wilderness Run, recast as backwoods practice track for young riders working toward the park's bigger coasters.

None of the renames changed the hardware: the same 16-foot lift hill, downward-banked turn, and gentle helix have carried twelve riders per train at a walking-pace six mph since 1998, making Wilderness Run one of the most patient rides in Camp Snoopy for coaster enthusiasts in training.
