What to bring on a park day

A short packing list that protects your phone, comfort, and ride time — without turning you into a walking luggage cart.

Park visits

Bring less than you think. Essentials: charged phone or battery bank, water (or a refillable bottle where allowed), weather layer, sunscreen, and any required medications. Secure loose items — parks ban unsecured phones on many coasters for a reason.

Optional upgrades: comfortable shoes you have already broken in, a small pouch that fits under a lap bar when lockers are scarce, and offline screenshots of tickets or reservations. Skip hauling a full backpack if locker lines are long; use park storage strategically near your first big ride.

Check bag and locker policies on the park site the night before. A smooth pack list keeps you in the midway instead of the gift-shop raincoat rack when the forecast flips.
