Rocky Mountain Construction's first single-rail coaster opened in 2021 in a pine-barrens setting themed to New Jersey's legendary Jersey Devil. The layout climbs about 130 feet into three inversions and a compact, whippy steel path that feels closer to a hybrid airtime machine than a traditional sit-down coaster. It anchored the park's early-2020s expansion wave alongside the rethemed Lil' Devil family coaster.

Jersey Devil Coaster opens
RMC's first single-rail coaster debuts with three inversions in a pine-barrens setting.
Background
Jersey Devil Coaster opened in 2021 as Rocky Mountain Construction's first single-rail coaster, themed to New Jersey's legendary pine-barrens creature. The layout climbs about 130 feet into three inversions on a whippy steel path that reads closer to a compact hybrid thrill machine than a traditional sit-down coaster.
The ride anchored Great Adventure's early-2020s family-thrill expansion alongside the relocated Lil' Devil Coaster, giving the park a modern steel headliner after years of relying on older B&M and Intamin installations. Official marketing still leans on the folklore angle more than a deeply built narrative queue.
It remains the park's signature single-rail credit and one of the clearest examples of RMC's post-hybrid product line landing at a Six Flags flagship.
